Keynote Speaker: Mike Davis
"Drought and Power in the Borderlands: the implications of Cimate-Change Research

  Mike Davis professor at UC Irvine, is an internationally renowned urban theorist, MacArthur Scholar, and prolific author. Publications include City of Quartz, Ecology of Fear, and with Justin Akers Chacon, No One is Illegal: Fighting Racism and State Violence on the US-Mexican Border.

  Tin Dardimal's first full length documentary film De Nadie,completed at age 22, received more than15 prizes in international film festivals including Sundance and the Mexican Cinematography Academy, where he was awarded a silver Ariel in 2006. Currently he is working on his second documentary about the future of the world’s water supply.
