Guidelines for Presentation in Research Sessions

Both students and faculty are invited to present research papers in any field of communication. This year there will be separate panels in organizational communication and health communication. Papers do not have to deal with the conference theme, or with issues having to do with the U.S./ Mexico border region.

If you are interested in presenting in the research sessions, you need to submit a one-page summary of your research project by the deadline for submission of work. At the research session, you will have ten minutes for your presentation followed by five minutes for questions. It is very important to keep to the time limit. If you can prepare a summary in the other language as well, that would be ideal, otherwise there will be someone at the session to help with translation. If you want to use Power Point, please bring your presentation on a PC compatible CD.
