HOPE WARREN SHAW

March 1935-April 2005

As we gathered for this year's Encounter at the University of Sonora in Hermosillo, we were saddened to learn that Hope Shaw, one of the founders of BINACOM, had died the day before we arrived. She was vacationing in a beautiful spot near La Paz, Baja California when she was caught in a powerful rip-tide. Hope organized two encounters at City College, served as president of the association and was an active member in more ways than can be imagined.
